Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander and Brad Paisley recently teamed up for a cover of the former’s “I Want You To Want Me” while aboard a boat named the General Jackson. Zander appeared onstage midway through Paisley’s take on the classic rock tune before the full ensemble of Cheap Trick took to the stage to perform a few of their hits, including “Surrender,” “Ain’t That A Shame” and “Dream Police.” “You’re pretty good on Van Halen stuff,” Zander said. “The Cheap Trick, you need to work on.” The unique event was made possible by Sony Music Nashville, who invited a select number of those attending the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee to a boat ride on the General Jackson for a show and dinner cruise. In addition to “I Want You To Want Me,” Paisley also tackled Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher.” Also on the night, Trisha Yearwood performed a cover of Linda Ronstadt’s “Blue Bayou” and Jake Owen played his powerful new single “What We Ain’t Got.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
