Nick Mason is still expressing his disappointment in the fact that Pink Floyd is not on tour. The drummer has remained with the band since their inception through the eras of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and David Gilmour taking part in the group. After the group released their last album, The Endless River, Mason was hoping they would tour, despite the sudden passing of bandmate Richard Wright. Unfortunately David Gilmour did not feel the same and refused to tour. “It would be nice if we could do it,” Nick Mason tells Sound Opinions, “but I absolutely accept it’s difficult from so many points of view. Apart from David not wishing to go out on the road again, and wanting to get on with being David Gilmour for a while, I think there are other issues, as well.” The Endless River was released on November 7, 2014.
