Neil Young has been working on new music with Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah. The trio plan to release a new album, which may or may not be titled The Monsanto Years. Young jokingly said that’s what he is referring to the album as, a reference to the agriculture corporation that Young has protested against in the past. “It’s an upbeat review of the situation,” he told Rolling Stone of the decision. Young recently shared the stage with the Nelson boys at the SLO Brewing Company in San Luis Obispo, California. Consequence of Sound rounded up some fan-shot footage from the show, in which Young and the Nelsons were joined by Promise of the Real for a show comprised mostly of new material they have been working on.
