Pete Townshend has teamed up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a new classical version of “Love Reign O’er Me,” a rework of the Who’s 1973 track. The new “Love Reign O’er Me” video includes scenes shot at Brighton Beach that feature scenes from the 1979 film adaptation of Quadrophenia. The Royal Philharmonic is accompanied on “Love Reign O’er Me” by the London Oriana Choir, which is conducted by Robert Zeigler. The featured vocalist on the track is Alfie Boe, an English tenor singer. The new version of “Love Reign O’er Me,” which will be featured on Classic Quadrophenia orchestrated by Rachel Fuller, will be released on June 9.
