Alexander Starovoitov, a Russian politician, says that U2 and Apple conspired to spread “gay propaganda” with the release of the band’s free album Songs of Innocence to all holders of iTunes accounts. The album cover sees the band’s bassist, Larry Mullen Jr. embracing his shirtless son. The cover art, shot by Glen Luchford, was described by Bono as a “raw, naked” piece that reflected the new album. “If you know the album you’ll see the themes in the visual language, how holding on to your own innocence is a lot harder than holding on to someone else’s,” he added. Spreading gay propaganda is a crime in Russia, punishable by a 90-day suspension of operations or a one million rouble fine. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
