U2 shocked fans by dressing up as buskers and giving an impromptu acoustic performance. The rock legends set up shop at the 42nd St. subway station in New York City and the scene was taped for the May 8 edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The band quickly drew a massive crowd and many fans hit social media sharing photos of the show. Pictures show Bono donning a purple cowboy hat and brown leather jacket with a shearling collar. The band also recently started their tour rehearsals for their upcoming Innocence + Experience trek, which begins May 15 in Vancouver. The Province observed that 15 unmarked tractor trailers are currently parked outside the city’s Pacific Coliseum. “We have a pretty good idea that the people coming in to do the rehearsing might be a little known Irish quartet known as U2,” the paper wrote.
