Bob Dylan and Jack White are among the musicians to celebrate the blues music of the Windy City in an upcoming doc called Born in Chicago. The film, directed by John Anderson, chronicles the history of blues in the city during the 50s and 60s. According to a presser, the doc features “a uniquely musical passing of the torch. It’s the story of first generation blues performers who had made their way to Chicago from the Mississippi Delta and their ardent and unexpected followers – young white, middle class kids who followed the evocative music to smoky clubs deep in Chicago’s ghettos.” In order to secure funding for the archival footage used in the picture, the producers have begun a Pledge Music campaign, offering an array of goodies for fans willing to lend a hand. Interviews in the film include Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy, among others. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
