Bruce Springsteen made a surprise guest appearance during the encore of Brian Wilson’s Holmdel, New Jersey show on Wednesday, July 1. The Boss joined the Beach Boys legend for “Barbara Ann” and “Surfin’ USA.” The appearance appears to have surprised even Wilson’s roadies, who are seen in fan shot footage scrambling to find Springsteen a guitar to play. Wilson is currently touring behind his latest album, No Pier Pressure, which landed in August. The LP features contributions from former Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks, along with guest spots from country singer Kacey Musgraves and Nate Reuss of fun. Wilson has six more dates left on his 2015 North American tour: July 4 in Toronto, July 5 in Detroit, July 6 in Chicago, July 8 in Denver, July 10 in Las Vegas, and July 12 in Seattle.
