Foreigner was joined on stage by the choir from Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School for a performance at the city’s Gexa Energy Pavilion on July 23. The duet, says Mick Jones, highlights the band’s dedication to promoting music in schools. “As far as I’m concerned, music is not only the most powerful form of communication between the peoples of the world,” he began. “It provides a gateway that opens up a fantastic new dimension of feeling and creativity. Anything we can do to provide our young ones with the tools to express themselves through music, is our goal in this partnership.” So far, according to Ultimate Classic Rock, Foreigner has donated $600,000 toward music education. Foreigner’s next gig comes August 7 at Clarkston, Missouri’s DTE Energy Music Theater. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
