The members of Pink Floyd had reportedly managed to keep the legendary inflatable pig from their album cover for Animals out of a recent auction. The pig was set to hit the auction block as part of a sale from Air Artists, who are the prop company that made the original pig, who is named Algie. “We made a list of all the inflatables that we weren’t going to store anymore . . . and the auctioneers jumped the gun a bit and started publicizing the most iconic one,” Rom Harries, owner of Air Artists, told Reuters. “I felt I’d better talk to Pink Floyd, which I duly did and they duly wanted it back, unsurprisingly.” The pig is seen in the photograph for the album, tied down to the top of the Battersea power station in England. It famously broke free and drifted across the skies of London before crashing down and blocking traffic near Heathrow Airport. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
