Cheap Trick is among the big names nominated for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Other nominees include Janet Jackson, the Smiths, the Cars, Steve Miller, Chicago, Los Lobos, N.W.A., Chaka Khan, the J.B.’s and the Spinners. Only artists who released their first single or album in 1990 or earlier are eligible, according to Rolling Stone. The top vote getters – voted on by 800 artists, historians and music industry insiders, as well as fans – will be announced in December and inducted into the Hall in April. Fans can vote for their favorites from now until December 9 on RollingStone.com; however, fans must vote for their favorite five nominees, which will “comprise a fans’ ballot that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2016 inductees to be announced in December!” according to the HOF. The event will be broadcast on HBO sometime after the April induction. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
