U2 have paid tribute to victims of the Paris terror attacks in a way only U2 could pull off. The band projected the Eiffel Tower with the message “Stronger Than Fear” and “Vive La France” during a performance of “City Of Blinding Lights” at the SSE Arena in Belfast. Bono also told the crowd, “We refuse to hate because love will do a better job.” U2 were initially due to play in Paris on Saturday, November 15, but called off their show following the Bataclan shootings. They instead attended a memorial at the music venue. More than 120 people were killed in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks that occurred in Paris. In the statement, U2 said, “We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
