Republican presidential candidate John Kasich has said that one of his campaign pledges is to reunite Pink Floyd. Kasich explained to CNN that his all-time favorite concert was a stop on Roger Waters’ The Wall tour. “And if I’m president,” he said, “I am going to once and for all try to reunite Pink Floyd to come together and play a couple of songs.” First on Kasich’s wish list for the reunion set: “Money,” from 1973’s Dark Side of the Moon. “Since we have so much trouble in America with our finances, I’m going to start with a little song they created called “Money.” Despite the presidential hopeful’s wishes, it may be harder than he thinks. Waters and David Gilmour have long refused to revive their partnership, and following the death of keyboardist Richard Wright, Gilmour has repeatedly pointed out that it would be “wrong” to perform under the Floyd banner even if he wanted to.
