The Rolling Stones and Elton John have both complained of Donald Trump’s use of their music at campaign rallies. The presidential candidate did not ask Stones for permission to play three of their tunes – “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Brown Sugar” – at a campaign stop. John, meanwhile, told the Guardian that he’s prefers to have his music left alone by all American candidates. “I’m British,” John said. “I’ve met Donald Trump, he was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f-ing Nugent? Or one of those f-ing country stars? They’ll do it for you.” Previous artists to complain of Trump’s use of their music have included Adele and Neil Young.
