Roger Waters and Metallica will join Neil Young for the 30th Bridge School Benefit Concert in October. Young will perform with Promise of the Real, while Metallica, Waters, Nils Lofgren, Dave Matthews, My Morning Jacket, Norah Jones, Cage the Elephant and case/lang/viers, a new supergroup comprised of singer-songwriters Neko Case, k.d. lang and Laura Viers, are also scheduled to perform. The Bridge School Benefit Concert will take place October 22-23 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The Bridge School, founded in part by Young’s ex-wife Pegi Young in 1987, ensures “that individuals with severe speech and physical impairments achieve full participation in their communities through the use of augmentative and alternative means of communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) applications and through the development, implementation and dissemination of innovative life-long educational strategies,” according to the school’s mission statement.
