The L.A. Kiss, an Area Football League team co-owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the rock band KISS, has reportedly ceased to be after just three seasons. The reports have yet to be confirmed by Simmons or Stanley. The AFL is certainly having a tough time of it lately. The L.A. Kiss is one of three teams that has folded in the past week, in addition to two other teams that have departed to join the Indoor Football League. The L.A. Kiss joined the AFL back in August 2013 and enjoyed the league’s second highest attendance that first year. Fans were enticed to become season ticket holders so that they could attend an exclusive concert by KISS. However, the team’s attendance numbers notably declined in the following two seasons.
