Melanie Hamrick, the girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, gave birth to a baby boy on December 8. “Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York and they are both delighted,” according to a statement from the couple. “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.” The boy is the couple’s first child, but is Jagger’s eighth. His seven other children range in age from 17 to 45. Jagger also has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. This marks the second time this year that a member of the Stones has had a child.
