Pat Benetar has released a new song, “Shine,” that shows her support and solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington. The song was co-written by Linda Perry. It is also the first new song that Benetar has released in over 10 years. Benetar said in a press statement, “Even though I can’t be at the Women’s March on Washington in person, I wanted to show my support for everyone marching and the importance of standing up for women’s rights. By joining together and lifting each other up, we will show the world that women’s rights must continue to move forward — we’re not going back.” The song is available in video format online.
