Randy Bachman and Peter Frampton have revealed their new collaborative track “Heavy Blues.” It serves as the lead single and title track from Bachman’s new solo release and features Frampton on lead guitar. The new release also features a collaboration with Neil Young who, according to Bachman, provided some major inspiration for the record.More »
Rush’s upcoming 40th anniversary tour may be the last tour of its kind, according to the band. Guitarist Alex Lifeson explained that, while the band has announced that they will be undertaking a 34-city U.S. tour, it was not an easy decision to make. He told Toronto radio station Q-107 recently, “We’d been working like crazy for five years.”More »
Sammy Hagar is set to become the host of his own weekly radio program, Sammy Hagar’s Top Rock Countdown. The new show will see Hagar counting down “lists of his favorite party songs, comeback albums, unsung heroes or best tunes from a specific year or decade. “With my own radio show, I’m going to do for radio what I did for Cabo: create something that promises more fun,” he said.More »

David Bowie has announced the release of a French-language version of his 1977 hit Heroes on limited edition blue vinyl. He’ll also drop the 2008 compilation I Select on red vinyl. The b-side of Heroes features a live version of the song recorded during Bowie’s Serious Moonlight Tour in 1983. I Select features songs from throughout Bowie’s career.More »
