Ondrej Pavelec, goalie for the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets, pays tribute to Bruce Springsteen with his protective mask, painted to match the cover of the Boss’ album Born to Run. According to Hockeynews.com, the art was done by Dave Gunnarsson, of Dave Art in Sweden, who specializes in airbrushing NHL masks. A Led Zeppelin concert film is slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 30. The two-hour film features a compilation of live band performances including those in January 1970 at Royal Albert Hall in London, July 1973 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, May 1975 at Earl’s Court in London and August 1979 at England’s Knebworth Festival.More »


Eagles Forced Off Stage By High Winds In Australia


The Eagles were forced to bring a recent show to a close early when high winds threatened safety at the venue. The show took place at Bendigo, Australia’s Hanging Rock venue and the band vacated the stage after winds of over 100 km/h shook the outdoor stage. The Rolling Stones have added their two cents into the ongoing debate about the color of the infamous internet meme dress. In a post to Twitter the Stones laid the matter to rest, sharing an image of their 1976 album Black and Blue. Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander and Brad Paisley recently teamed up for a cover of the former’s “I Want You To Want Me” while aboard a boat named the General Jackson. Zander appeared onstage midway through Paisley’s take on the classic rock tune before the full ensemble of Cheap Trick took to the stage to perform a few of their hits, including “Surrender” and “Ain’t That A Shame.”More »
