Jagger And Scorsese Bringing Rock Drama To HBO
Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger have revealed that they are working on a rock and roll drama for HBO.
The new project, History of Music, tells the story of two friends and their 40 years together working in the music industry. Terence Winter - who previously wrote and produced for The Sopranos - and Jagger are expected to produce the series. Scorsese will direct.
The film will feature guest appearances from Bill Clinton, Jack White and Christina Aguilera, among others.
The Rolling Stones have denied recent rumors published in Britain's the Sun alleging that they will retire in 2012 after a 2011 tour. A spokesperson for the band recently told Entertainment Weekly that the rumor was "not true."
