KISS And Def Leppard Take ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Together

Nominated by Motley Crue to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, both KISS and Def Leppard - currently on tour together - accepted, getting doused for a good cause. In addition to the publicity, both acts donated $10,000 to ALS research.

In turn, KISS nominated Elton John, Rod Stewart and Deepak Chopra to try the ALS IBC, while Def Lep did the same for U2, Prince, and Whitesnake fronter David Coverdale.

Coverdale was quick to respond, posting vid of his own dousing on Facebook and nominating his fellow bandmates - Rob Beach, Michael Devin and Joel Hoekstra - to do the same.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

KISS and DL are currently on their joint 40th anny tour.
