Elton John closed out the year at Barclays Center in Brooklyn with a New Year’s Eve show. The “Rocket Man” singer took the stage at 10 p.m. after Bright Light Bright Light opened the show. Part of the singer’s set was featured on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest special. Last year Billy Joel rang in the new year at the New York City venue, while Coldplay and Jay-Z played at the arena in 2012 going into 2013. This year Joel played a New Year’s Eve show in Orlando, Florida. Several other artists chose to ring in the New Year with performances this year, including Queen, James Taylor, Gregg Allman, Foreigner, Eddie Money and the Isley Brothers.
