Neil Young’s long-anticipated hi-definition Pono music player is now available. Young announced that he would be putting out the device in October 2012 and raised funding for its development through Kickstarter, where he reached the Pono’s fundraising goal in one day. The small orange or black music player is equipped to read hi-definition files, includes 64 GB of storage, and is sold with a 64 GB card (with microSD cards up to 128 GB available for use in it). The device retails for $399 and is available in selected stores. Young told an audience at a CES electronics and technology show yesterday that his main motivation for creating Pono was a desire to have a high-quality listening experience. “I didn’t listen to music for the last 15 years because I hated the way it sounded, and it made me pissed off and I couldn’t enjoy it any more. I could only hear what was missing.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
