Tim Drummond, a session bass player who jammed with the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, has passed away at the age of 74. No cause of death has been announced. “One of the best bass players and a great guy. Sad to hear this,” producer Craig Leon tweeted. Billboard adds that Drummond “known for an understated, restrained style of playing.” Drummond played on classic Young 1970s records Harvest and Comes a Time, as well as being a member of his side bands International Harvesters, the Shocking Pinks and the Stray Gators.
