Elton John and the Who have been revealed as the headliners of this year’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The two superstar acts join previously announced performers including Tony Bennett with Lady Gaga, Keith Urban, No Doubt, John Legend, Pitbull, Hozier, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chicago and Steve Winwood. Local Louisiana acts slated to take the stage include New Orleans queen of soul Irma Thomas, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, singer-pianist Allen Toussaint and the Meters. The festival takes place over two weekends from April 24 through May 3 and celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. This year’s festival will feature a tribute to Rock’n’Roll Hall of Famer Fats Domino, as well as hundreds of acts on over a dozen stages, along with food and craft booths.
