The members of U2 have signed a guitar for the Legacy of Hope Foundation. The band autographed one of The Edge’s acoustic guitars, with frontman Bono (who was recently in a cycling accident and is currently in rehab to recover from his injuries) writing on the instrument, “There’s no them there’s only us!” They then donated the guitar to the foundation, which is currently working to build the fifth dedicated children’s hospital in Africa, the Nelson Mandela Children’s hospital, which will offer health care to children in Southern Africa regardless of their ability to pay. Eric Gast, CEO/Executive Producer of the Legacy of Hope Foundation, said of the band’s generous gesture, “We are truly honored that U2 would show their support with this wonderful gesture. I’m moved that Bono, in his current state, would have the resolve to help support Mr. Mandela’s dream of free and accessible healthcare for the children of Southern Africa.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
