Former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade may be reconnecting with the band for a performance at the Grammys. Slade would fill the spot left open by the band’s current drummer Phil Rudd, who is currently awaiting trial in New Zealand for allegedly attempting to hire a hitman. Rumors of Slade’s return to AC/DC broke after the drummer was scheduled to appear at a meet-and-greet session but suddenly postponed the event. The event’s organizers explained the cancellation, writing, “There’s actually big news regarding Slade and his career coming in next several days which is why he had to reschedule this event.” Rudd had previously stated that he intended to stay with the band despite the legal woes, but the group has since confirmed he will not be performing with them this year.
