When the Foo Fighters doc Sonic Highways lands in stores this spring, it will feature footage with Joe Walsh that didn’t make the cut in the version that aired on HBO. Each of the eight episodes comprising Sonic Highways will have extended interviews with the likes of Walsh, Barack Obama, Billy Gibbons, ZZ Top and Joan Jett. Sonic Highways features the Foos traveling to eight cities-Chicago, Washington DC, Nashville, Austin, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Seattle and New York-and talking with local musical icons along the way. Sonic Highways is due in stores April 7, with pre-orders available March 9. The Foos also have a few live dates lined up for this summer.
