A new list reveals how much each of Woodstock’s performers were paid to perform at the 1969 festival. Jimi Hendrix tops the list, having pulled down $18,000, while Blood, Sweat & Tears ($15,000), Joan Baez ($10,000), Creedence Clearwater Revival ($10,000), and the Band ($7,500) round out the top five. Last year, Michael Lang, one of the fest’s original organizers, said that he’s targeting 2019 to hold a 50th anniversary of Woodstock. “I think we’re certainly done until the 50th,” Lang told Rolling Stone. “We’re starting to think about it now.” He added that he was in the process of exploring locations for the big show.
