Members of the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd have teamed up for a new charity single called “Save the Children (Look Into Your Heart)” to benefit victims of Nepal’s recent devastating earthquake. Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood added backing vocals and guitar, respectively, for a session produced by drummer Nick Mason at London’s Abbey Road Studios. “Save the Children (Look Into Your Heart)” features lead vocals by U.K. soul singer Beverley Knight and a 100-voice choir made up of members of Save the Children, a U.K.-based humanitarian organization. “The terrible events in Nepal show just how vulnerable our fellow man can be in the face of nature,” Knight told the Daily Express. “My hope is that the proceeds of this song will go some way to help raise urgently needed funds to repair homes and restore lives.” All proceeds, distributed via Save the Children’s Nepal earthquake initiative, go to aid the survivors of the April 25 tragedy that has claimed more than 7,500 lives and injured more than 14,500.
