Jim Morrison fans have launched a new campaign to preserve the singer’s childhood home in New Mexico. According to local news channel KOAT, historian and fan Anthony Gomez is campaigning to make Morrison’s childhood home, situated in north-east Albuquerque, a designated historical site. “Living in Albuquerque for a while, I think he should have a spot here,” Gomez said. The current owner of the house, Thelma Lue, said that she’s has not been all that bothered by those Doors fans who show up to the house since most have been nice. “It doesn’t bother me. They’ve all been very thoughtful and nice,” said Lue. Morrison lived at the property from the ages of 12 to 14. Morrison died at the age of 27, on July 3, 1971. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
