Kansas guitarist Richard Williams revealed that the band plans to work on a new album, moving forward with new singer Ronnie Platt, who replaced the departing Steve Walsh. “We’re starting to assemble [things], you know, putting ideas together,” Williams says. “Talking about how are we going to do this, where are we going to do this, who is going to co-produce this with us – all of these things . . . that is kind of the focus of what we’re doing beyond the tour and promoting the documentary.” “There’s always the innate need to be creative. Now that we all want to do that, then you’ve got to say, ‘Okay, well to do that, we have to stop this machine from rolling for a while,'” Williams says. “That means that there’s no paychecks coming in. You have to really commit to it and understand.” The new album would mark the first new Kansas studio album since 2000’s Somewhere to Elsewhere. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
