Lynyrd Skynyrd and Brantley Gilbert are the latest artists to be paired up for the CMT genre mashing program Crossroads. Gary Rossington, Skynyrd guitarist, told USA Today he’s excited to meet Brantley. “We hear Brantley is a big Skynyrd fan, so that excites us. Brantley is also one of those rebels of country music, kind of like us, so we will get along just fine.” Gilbert reciprocated the feeling, noting that he’s been a “life long” fan of the group. It’s the second time that Skynyrd will appear on the program, previously collaborating with Montgomery Gentry in a 2004 episode. Skynyrd and Gilbert’s Crossroads tapes in Nashville and airs June 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CMT. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
