Bob Dylan has signed on as the final musical guest on The Late Show with David Letterman. It will serve as a rare television performance for Dylan, who last appeared on Letterman in 1993, several months after the show debuted on CBS. Bob’s appearance on the show is scheduled for May 19, the second to last show of Dave’s run. The booking comes at a busy time for Bob, who also recently announced a fall U.K. tour. Dylan will play six shows in total, beginning with three consecutive nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall from October 21 to 23. He will then head to Manchester’s O2 Apollo for back-to-back shows on October 28 and 27 before bringing the run to a close with a date at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on October 29. Dylan released his 36th studio album Shadows In The Night this past February.
