U2 paid tribute to late blues legend B.B. King during their recent show in Vancouver, B.C. last week. The Irish legends performed their 1988 collaboration with King “When Love Comes to Town.” It marked the band’s first performance of the track since 1993. That performance came in Dublin on August 28, 1993 and was part of the final show of the European leg of their Zoo TV tour that year. Though rare for both acts, it remained a more regular part of King’s sets throughout the years. The blues legend died at the age of 89 last week after suffering from a small series of strokes. The tribute came as a special addition to the U2’s current set, which has included many of their biggest hits like “One,” “Where the Streets Have No Names” and “It’s a Beautiful Day.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
