Roger Waters has recruited Tom Morello, Billy Corgan and Sheryl Crow for the 2015 Music Heals benefit concert. The event is an annual one-night-only concert to raise money for the charity MusiCorps, a non-profit organization that supports injured soldiers and their families. The charity also teaches wounded service members how to play instruments to help aid their rehabilitation process. “The work I have done over the last few years with these men and women has been some of the most rewarding work I have ever done,” Waters said in a statement. Some of these musicians from the MusiCorps’ Wounded Warrior Band are people Waters has helped mentor over the years. In 2012, Waters and the Wounded Warriors Band covered Levon Helm’s “Wide River to Cross” at the Stand Up for Heroes benefit concert in New York. The 2015 Music Heals benefit concert at Washington D.C.’s DAR-Constitution Hall will take place on October 16. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
