Neil Young and Promise of the Real have released a full length documentary chronicling the making of their collaborative album, The Monsanto Years. The film sees Young and Promise recording the LP at a converted movie theater in Oxnard, California. The activist record sees Young taking shots at several corporations. Targets on the album include StarBucks, Monsanto and Chevron. Young’s Rebel Content tour began on July 5. On the trek he’s backed by Promise for an electric set; he’ll also give a solo acoustic set at each stop.
