Peter Gabriel has revealed that he is currently working on a new album. The first word of the new release came in late May via Facebook when Gabriel’s team posted a photo of a computer screen showing a recording session with the title “PG new album.” He later hit Twitter sharing a photo of several hard drives and noted that his new album would be backed up three times. The new release will mark Gabriel’s first album since 2011’s New Blood. In 2013 he told NME that he works slowly and often obsesses over different instrument takes. “I really need to stop doing other things and lock myself away for a while,” he said in 2013. “It probably hasn’t moved nearly as much as I would have liked to in the intervening time. The songs are still there, but some of them I would redo now and there’s some new stuff as well.
