Queen have revealed plans to release The Studio Collection, an 18-LP box set containing all 15 of their studio albums on colored vinyl. The Studio Collection, set to be released on September 25, will feature each studio album released with their own colored vinyl. For the collection, Queen II is presented as a double album, with music on one side and custom etching on the other. According to the band’s website, the mastering was done by noted engineer Bob Ludwig, who discovered that the original analog mixes had shown some degradation over the years. So he created new digital masters, which were used to cut the 180-gram vinyl, a process done at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. The LPs will be packaged along with a 108-page hardcover book, which contains information about each album, as well as rare photos and memorabilia. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
