David Gilmour has released “Rattle That Lock,” the title track and first music off his forthcoming new studio album. He explained that “Rattle That Lock” was inspired by the sound that’s played at French railway stations before they make an announcement. “It’s a jingle, a four-note jingle that’s played,” Gilmour says of the song in a new promo video. “Every time I heard it, it would make me want to start dancing. I turned my iPhone on, held my iPhone up nearer the speaker and waited for the next announcement.” Rattle That Lock, Gilmour’s first proper studio release since 2006’s On an Island, features collaborations with a number of artists, including Roxy Music’s Phil Manzanera, former Squeeze member Jools Holland and wife Polly Sampson. The album will see a release on September 18. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
