Bruce Springsteen gave fans a special treat over the weekend when he appeared for an impromptu concert near his hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The Boss turned up at the Wonder Bar venue in Asbury Park at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night and played for over two hours. Springsteen appeared as a special guest to local favorite Joe Grushecky and his band the Houserockers and word soon spread throughout the town that Springsteen was giving an unannounced concert. Over the course of 15 songs he played various favorites including “Adam Raise A Cain,” “Darkness on the Edge of Town” and “Because The Night.” He also recently made a surprise guest appearance during the encore of Brian Wilson’s Holmdel, New Jersey show on Wednesday, July 1. The Boss joined the Beach Boys legend for “Barbara Ann” and “Surfin’ USA.” The appearance seems to have surprised even Wilson’s roadies, who are seen in fan shot footage scrambling to find Springsteen a guitar to play.
