A rendition of Gregg Allman covering the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic “Tuesday’s Gone” has surfaced online. The rock legend is joined for the cover by Peter Frampton and Cheap Trick and it was recorded as part of Skynyrd’s forthcoming lives set One More for the Fans. The track is currently streaming via YouTube and will be included on the full live album, which is due out on July 24. Skynyrd’s Gary Rossington spoke on the event with Billboard saying, “Oh man, it was a great evening. It was a tribute to the music and everybody came. All our friends and the great artists who were there were just great. It was very humbling, and I was in awe of all those guys.” Frampton added, “We’ve known each other on a very close level. We’ve known each other through thick and thin, literally. We’ve played many, many concerts together. And we went through their air disaster together because my crew was off the road with me and had joined Lynyrd Skynyrd for that tour. It’s just always been a pleasure to do anything with them, and I enjoyed the whole experience of doing that (tribute) show. It was much more of a family experience for me, that whole day.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
