Bruce Springsteen helped Jon Stewart say goodbye to Daily Show fans after a 16 year run, closing the final program with a live version of “Born to Run” and “Land of Hopes and Dreams.” “Thanks for everything, Jon,” said Springsteen before launching into the mini-set. “We wish you happy and safe travels.” After, Stewart called the performance his “moment of zen,” referring to the popular clip featured at the end of every Daily Show over the years. “Nothing ends, it’s just a continuation . . . a pause in the conversation,” he added. Others featured on the finale included Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell and John Oliver. In February, Stewart revealed he’d be stepping down from the program that he’s hosted since 1999. Comedian Trevor Noah will make his hosting debut on the show at a yet to be confirmed date. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
