Billy Joel gave a three-hour farewell concert at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum, a venue which he’s played 32 times, and which will soon begin a massive series of renovations. Billy got some help from Paul Simon, as the pair played Simon’s solo hits “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” and “Late in the Evening,” as well as the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Homeward Bound.” According to Newsday, Joel was introduced by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who was booed by the crowd. Joel played a string of hits, including “Piano Man,” and wrapped with a five song encore, which featured “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” “Uptown Girl,” “Big Shot,” “You May Be Right” and “Only the Good Die Young.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
