KISS tour promoter Andrew McManus was arrested as part of an international investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering. McManus was stopped at Melbourne, Australia’s airport. According to The Age, five people in both the United States and Australia were picked up in the raid, which was conducted by the FBI, the New South Wales Organised Crime Squad and the Australian Crime Commission. The investigation started four years ago, when a suitcase containing $700,000 in cash was discovered in a hotel room that was occupied by Sean Carolan, a personal trainer. McManus said that the money was originally his, that he was paying back Carolan for lending him the money in conjunction with a ZZ Top tour he was promoting at the time. This led authorities to uncover an alleged plot to import 300 kilograms of cocaine into Australia in which Craig Haeusler, a known crime figure in Australia, appears to have been involved. Haeusler and two other men were also arrested in Sydney. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
