Bruce Springsteen celebrated his 66th birthday by taking to the stage alongside Jackson Browne. Though the Boss watched the majority of the concert at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theatre in New Jersey, he joined Browne for a 12-minute version of “Take It Easy,” which Browne co-wrote with the Eagles’ Glenn Frey in 1972. “Say hello to Bruce Springsteen,” Browne told the crowd before Springsteen came out and strapped on a guitar. “On top of that, it’s Mr. Springsteen’s birthday. We were honored that he chose to kick off the occasion on the Basie stage.” The two also performed the track “Our Lady Of the Well.” “We live in a pretty unique place, where our neighbors are some of the greatest artists in the world,” said Jon Vena of the Basie. “When one of these stars stops by to see a friend backstage and then decides to share that visit with the rest of the theater, it’s a pretty special moment.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
