Roger Waters has announced plans to release The Wall live soundtrack album. Roger Waters the Wall, a new two-disc live album, consists of recordings from the Wall tour dates, and was produced by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. This version of The Wall also includes “The Ballad of Jean Charles de Menezes,” which Waters incorporated into his performances of the album beginning in 2011 in tribute to a 27-year-old Brazilian man that London police killed thinking, wrongly, that he was a terrorist. According to Rolling Stone, Waters performed the album for approximately 4.5 million people during the course of the tour with help of an 11-person band. Singer Robbie Wyckoff handled the vocal parts that Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour sang on the original record, while the guitars were handled by Dave Kilminster, former SNL bandleader G.E. Smith and Snowy White. Waters’ son Harry performed Hammond organ and piano on the tour. Roger Waters The Wall will be released on November 20. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
