A never-before-seen cache of Beatles and Rolling Stones photos were auctioned off to benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles. Twenty-two pictures from The Bob Bonis Archive were donated to the charity for the auction. Bonis was the U.S. tour manager for the Beatles’ three American tours, as well as the Stones’ first five, and, along the way he snapped several thousand pictures of the bands. “While The Beatles and The Stones are among the most photographed celebrities in history, there really are almost no photographs available to the public taken from an insider’s perspective,” says Larry Marion, curator of the Archive. “These photos show them as real people.” The Big Brothers Big Sisters program “makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
