U2 visited a memorial in Paris for the victims of the recent terror attacks on the country. The band was in the midst of a four date run at the city’s AccorHotels Arena and canceled the last two after the attacks. “We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight,” the band wrote in a statement. “We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.” U2 noted that they will reschedule the concerts at an “appropriate time.” “I think U2 has a role to play and I can’t wait till we get back to Paris and play and that’s what I’m feeling from the messages we’re receiving from music fans is these people will not set our agenda,” noted Bono. “They will not organize our lives for us.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
